Local Transportation

Dresden has a large tramway network that is operated by the Dresdner Verkehrsbetriebe AG/DVB (information only in German, information in English can be found here). The tramway system is the backbone of public transport in Dresden. On the major lines through the inner city, where different routes intertwine, vehicles run up to every two minutes. Different routes can be identified by a route number scheme, which also extends to local and regional bus services, as well as a colour code which has by now only been applied to the official network diagram of DVB.

Weather in April

Spring is a good time to visit Dresden. The nature awakes from it's winter sleep and everything is painted in a fresh green. However, with an average temparature of 15°C, it can become fresh in the evening and you should always be prepared for a little rain.
